Automobiles in German City Found Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Authorities stated they were notified by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Approximately fifty cars have been covered with what seems to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were marked, in some cases with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Law enforcement say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored substance.

The liquid had been placed in the form of a banned symbol, they added.

Law enforcement then located multiple other marked cars and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Police state initial examinations suggest the fluid was likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no indication as to where it came from; authorities are currently not aware of any injuries in connection with the incident," they commented.

Local authorities said they were attempting "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the community for tips.

A high-ranking representative said the incident rendered him without words and needed to be resolved promptly.

"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing attack five years ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine people by a gunman aiming at people of foreign heritage in five years prior.
