Nineteen of Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback Medvedev claimed his first title for nearly 30 months with a win over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in specific - resulted in him exiting of the top ten and ultimately parting ways with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Moutet.
It is Medvedev's first trophy since the Italian tournament and first on a hardcourt from March of that year.
The win also signifies he has achieved 21 victories at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a title is particularly special," said world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This title is in dedication of my younger daughter Victoria, because the maiden victory I achieved when my older daughter my daughter was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, featuring in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's counter-punching play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had prompted some to doubt if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the past month, striving to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an enhanced service.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the initial set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the concluding five exchanges to gain the advantage.
Both players traded service breaks in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his initial tour victory, gained dominance to force a final set.
He defended 4 initial break points in a close final set before the Russian won the break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner secured victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
